Atlanta, GA, November 1, 2024 – Mahjee, Inc., a leader in digital solutions for water asset management, proudly announces that Chief Technology Officer Calvin A. Levy will be a featured speaker at the Buried Asset Management Institute-International’s (BAMI-I) 2nd Annual Global Buried Asset Management Congress (GBAMC). The event, set to take place November 14-16, 2024, at the Omni Severin Hotel in Indianapolis, IN, will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the latest advancements and emerging challenges in underground infrastructure management. This year’s theme, “New Horizons in Buried Asset Management,” highlights the importance of innovation, resilience, and digital security in supporting infrastructure’s future.
Mr. Levy’s presentation, titled “Digital Defense for Hidden Infrastructure and Water Networks,” will delve into the pressing need for comprehensive cybersecurity measures in the water and buried asset sectors. His talk will outline how essential digital defense strategies can be applied to protect critical infrastructure systems that are often out of sight but essential to everyday life, especially water networks and other underground utilities. As threats from cyber-attacks increase, especially targeting utility and infrastructure sectors, Calvin’s insights will underscore how advanced cyber strategies are pivotal in creating resilient infrastructure capable of withstanding and adapting to modern security challenges.
With an extensive background in business technology and data security, Mr. Levy is at the forefront of cybersecurity solutions for the water asset management industry. Under his technical guidance, Mahjee is developing an Automated Water Intelligence (AWI) platform, “Liquid Lens” an advanced tool that harnesses data analytics to aid in decision-making, predictive modeling, and risk assessment within water networks. Liquid Lens is designed to operate across diverse datasets, analyzing data from various sources to provide insights that are crucial for monitoring, forecasting, and protecting water infrastructures. Calvin’s expertise is instrumental in advancing Mahjee’s mission to provide a reliable, secure, and proactive approach to water asset management.
“The rise of interconnected digital infrastructure in our water networks calls for an equally sophisticated approach to cybersecurity,” said Calvin Levy. “As these systems increasingly incorporate IoT devices, AI, and real-time data sharing, protecting hidden assets from cyber threats is essential to ensure the uninterrupted and secure delivery of water to communities globally. At Mahjee, we’re committed to advancing solutions that not only enhance operational efficiency but also bolster the resilience of critical infrastructure against cyber risks.”
The GBAMC conference provides a platform for global thought leaders to share knowledge, explore challenges, and collaborate on solutions for managing underground infrastructure assets. Attendees include representatives from public and private sectors, regulatory bodies, and technology innovators. As the conversation around infrastructure sustainability expands to include digital resilience and security, Calvin Levy’s presentation will contribute valuable insights into the intersection of cybersecurity and asset management—a critical focus for stakeholders invested in the future of water and buried infrastructure systems.
With discussions ranging from asset preservation and maintenance to cutting-edge technologies in digital asset protection, the BAMI-I congress aims to set new standards for the industry. Mahjee is honored to contribute to this important event, furthering its commitment to driving innovative solutions and helping to ensure the security of vital water infrastructure systems around the world.
